About

I was raised in Croton-on-Hudson, NY. My mother passed on to me her love of books at an early age by bringing me to the library often and to bookstores (if I was good at the dentist). I studied Elementary and Special Education at Loyola University in Baltimore and received my MA from Johns Hopkins U. in Reading and ESL instruction. I have taught various ages of elementary education for 12 years. I write fiction and non-fiction picture book manuscripts and am an active member/ volunteer for the Eastern NY SCBWI chapter. I live in upstate NY with my family.
If I wasn't writing or teaching, and could have any talent in the world, I'd be playing for a professional women’s baseball league.
